In collaboration with The Beverage Agent, we were approached by Gritchie Brewing Company to evaluate their position in the craft beer market and devise a marketing strategy aimed at expanding their social media presence, boosting webshop sales, and generating nationwide interest in the brand.
The broader team—including management, Gritchie Brewing Company, Guy Ritchie’s Lore of the Land pub, and the Compton Abbas Airfield taproom—recognised a disconnect between the businesses due to their dispersed locations. They sought a solution that would allow each entity to maintain its individuality while still feeling part of a unified whole.
Hop Forward conducted a thorough evaluation of the client’s existing marketing efforts, encompassing social media content, TripAdvisor, Untappd and Google reviews, website functionality, SEO, as well as the flavour and quality of their beer.
During a visit to the Ashcombe Estate near Shaftesbury, we presented our findings to the team, along with a proposal to elevate brand awareness and boost sales on a national scale.
Our recommendations included, but were not limited to, redeveloping the websites for both the brewery and Lore of the Land, creating and delivering content for a weekly newsletter that resulted in increased online sales, collaborating with the management team to implement a social media strategy, and providing support to a newly appointed Social Media Manager.
In addition, Hop Forward led tutored tasting sessions for the team and worked closely with the brewery to develop and launch new beers for their Brewer’s Lore craft beer range, available in cans and kegs. This involved crafting a launch strategy, engaging with trade press, broadcasters, and social media influencers, organising sample distribution to various outlets, and offering specialised consultancy in brewery, brand, and marketing to the brewing team.
S.W.O.T analysis of the client’s existing marketing, followed by a marketing strategy aimed at brand awareness growth, increased web shop sales and more bookings at the Lore of the Land pub and restaurant. Included strategy documents, digital marketing presenters, copywriting, working with press and media, photography, social media content and consultancy.
We offered regular consultancy to the team to help identify various business challenges, as well as offering solutions to a range of issues. Hop Forward worked with the team for a period of 6 months until the wider management team decided the project was no longer continuing.
Website design and development for both Gritchie Brewing Company and Lore of the Land, with an emphasis on developing the webshop for the brewery and SEO for the pub, with a view to increasing bookings.
We helped the brewery launch several new beers into its Brewer’s Lore range. This was achieved through tutored tastings, working with the team’s existing design firm, writing press releases and articles for publication, liaising with trade press and associates, organising and sending out samples, and undertaking an online launch.
